1. Kundan Jewellery
Description:

Stones used in Kundan are usually glass or synthetic gemstones.
It is primarily decorative and less expensive compared to Polki.
Visual Clue:
Glassy or colored stones with visible gold foil settings.
Lightweight and often more colorful.
2. Polki Jewellery
Description:
Polki is made using uncut natural diamonds (raw diamonds).
It is more valuable and traditional than Kundan.
Polki stones have a duller, raw sparkle and are not as clear as cut diamonds.
Visual Clue:
Raw, unpolished diamonds with a soft shimmer.
Usually heavier and more intricate.
3. Jadau Jewellery
Description:
• Jadau is not a type of stone, but a technique of embedding stones into gold without using any adhesive.
• It is commonly used in both Kundan and Polki styles.
• Originated in the Mughal era and is known for its intricate craftsmanship.
Visual Clue:
• High-detail settings, often with enamel work (Meenakari) on the reverse.
• Rich, regal look with uncut diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc.
